Affiliated Organization

Affiliated Organization. A business entity that is treated as a single employer with the Company under the rules of section 414(b) and (c) of the Code, including the eighty percent (80%) standard therein.

Affiliated Organization. Any corporation that would be a member of a controlled group of corporations (within the meaning of section 414(b) of the Code) that includes the Company, and any trade or business (whether or not incorporated) that would be controlled (within the meaning of section 414(c) of the Code) by the Company, if the phrase "at least 70%" were substituted for the phrase "at least 80%" each place it appears in section 1563(a)(1) of the Code and in regulations under section 414(c) of the Code.
