CMRS Provider

CMRS Provider. An entity that provides mobile service, as defined as of the Effective Date in Section 3(27) of the Act (47 U.S.C. § 153(27)), for profit (i.e., with the intent of receiving compensation or monetary gain), where the mobile service is an 3 interconnected service and is available to the public, or to such classes of eligible users as to be effectively available to a substantial portion of the public, or that provides the functional equivalent service of such mobile service.
