Example Definitions of "Control"
Control. Means, with respect to any item of information or intellectual property right, the possession, whether by ownership or exclusive license, of the right to grant a license or other right with respect thereto.
Control. The right to grant a license or sublicense to intangible property rights (including patent rights, know-how and trade secret INFORMATION), and the right to provide access to or cross-reference to regulatory filings, in each case to the extent not in violation of the terms of any pre-existing agreement or other arrangement with any THIRD PARTY. "CONTROL" expressly includes the right of ownership, in whole or in part.
Control. (including the terms "Controlling," "Controlled by," and "under common Control with") shall mean the possession, directly or indirectly, of the power to direct or cause the direction of the management and policies of a Person, whether through ownership of voting securities, by contract, or otherwise (provided, however, that the farmout of oil and gas properties by Borrower or its Subsidiaries shall not be deemed to constitute a change of control).
