IND APPLICATION. An Investigational New Drug Application filed with the United States Food and Drug Administration under the U.S. Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act prior to administration of a pharmaceutical product to humans; or an analogous application or filing with any analogous agency or Regulatory Authority outside of the United States under any analogous foreign law for the purposes of obtaining permission to conduct human clinical studies.
