Example Definitions of "Stock Appreciation Right"
Stock Appreciation Right. The right to receive an amount in cash or Shares equal to the excess of the Fair Market Value of a Share on the date of exercise over the Fair Market Value of a Share on the date of the grant (or other value specified in the agreement granting the Stock Appreciation Right).
Stock Appreciation Right. An Award, granted alone or in connection with a related Option, designated as a SAR, pursuant to the terms of Section 10.
Stock Appreciation Right. Means the right to receive cash or shares of Common Stock in an amount equal to the excess of the Fair Market Value of one share of Common Stock on the date the SAR is exercised over (1) the Fair Market Value of one share of Common Stock on the Grant Date or (2) if the SAR is related to an Option, the purchase price of a share of Common Stock specified in the related Option.
Stock Appreciation Right. The right to receive from the Company, on surrender of all or part of the related Stock Option, without a cash payment to the Company, a number of shares of Common Stock equal to the SAR Value divided by the Fair Market Value (on the exercise date).
