Surgical Field of Use
Surgical Field of Use. Shall mean the surgical insertion through the chest cavity of a stented, tissue heart valve using a catheter delivery system of no greater than 50 centimeters in usable length (i.e., the length that can be inserted into the human body); provided, however, that such Surgical Field of Use does not include the delivery of a stented, tissue heart valve to the heart by way of any vessel other than solely through the thoracic aorta.
