Taxes. Means any and all present and future sales, income, stamp, and other taxes, levies, imposts, duties, deductions, charges, fees or withholdings imposed, levied, withheld, or assessed by any governmental authority, together with any interest or penalties imposed thereon.

Taxes. Taxes. Shall mean all real estate taxes and assessments, special or otherwise, imposed, levied or assessed upon or with respect to the Land or Building. Except as provided above, Taxes shall not include any inheritance, estate, succession, transfer, gift, franchise, net income or capital stock tax. In determining the amount of Taxes for any year, the amount of special assessments to be included shall be equal to the greater of either the amount actually paid or the amount of the installment (plus any interest payable thereon) of such special assessment which would have been required to have been paid during such year if the Landlord had elected to have such special assessment paid over the maximum period of time permitted by law. Except as provided in the preceding two sentences, all references to Taxes "for" a particular year shall be deemed to refer to Taxes levied, assessed or otherwise imposed for such year without regard to when such taxes are payable.
