Example Definitions of "Performance Measures"
Performance Measures. On a GAAP or non-GAAP basis, any of the following measurable criteria tied to the Company's performance that the Committee may determine, including but not limited to net income, funds from operations, funds available for distribution, revenues, earnings per share, return on assets, return on equity, return on invested capital, operational efficiency measures, rental income, move-in activity and occupancy level of same-store properties, ratio of earnings to fixed charges, price of the Company's... common stock and level of acquisition and development activity. Performance Measures may be based on one or more business criteria that apply to an individual, a business unit or the Company as a whole, but need not be based on an increase or positive result under the business criteria selected. Performance Measures. Are those standards set forth in Section 5.10 on which Awards of "performance-based compensation" as defined in Section 162(m) of the Code must be based.

Performance Measures may relate to the Corporation and/or one or more of its Subsidiaries, one or more of its divisions or units or any combination of the foregoing, on a consolidated or nonconsolidated basis, and may be applied on an absolute basis or be relative to one or more peer group companies or indices, or any combination thereof, all as the Committee determines.
