Security Interest. Security Interest. Means any mortgage, charge, pledge, hypothecation, lien (statutory or otherwise), assignment, finance lease, title retention agreement or arrangement, security interest or other encumbrance or adverse claim of any nature, or any other security agreement or arrangement creating in favour of any creditor a right in respect of a particular property.
