Example Definitions of "Hazardous Material"
Hazardous Material. Means (a) any "hazardous substance," as defined by CERCLA; (b) any "hazardous waste" or "solid waste," in either case as defined by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, as amended; (c) any solid, hazardous, dangerous or toxic chemical, material, waste or substance, within the meaning of and regulated by any Environmental Law; (d) any radioactive material, including any naturally occurring radioactive material, and any source, special or byproduct material as defined in 42 U.S.C. 2011 et... seq. and any amendments or authorizations thereof; (e) any polychlorinated biphenyls in any form or condition; or (f) any air pollutant which is so designated by the U.S. EPA as authorized by the Clean Air Act. Hazardous Material. Shall mean any hazardous material, hazardous waste, hazardous substance, hazardous constituent, toxic substance, pollutant, contaminant, asbestos, petroleum, petroleum waste, radioactive material, biohazardous material, explosive or any other material, the presence of which in the environment is prohibited, regulated, or serves as the basis of liability, as defined, listed, or regulated by any applicable federal, state, or local environmental law, ordinance, rule, or regulation.
Hazardous Material. Means (i) any petroleum, hazardous or toxic petroleum-derived substances or petroleum products, flammable explosives, radioactive materials, asbestos, urea formaldehyde foam insulation and transformers or other equipment that contain dielectric fluid containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and (ii) any chemicals or other materials or substances for which standards of care have been issued or which are regulated, classified or defined as or included in the definition of "hazardous... substances", "hazardous wastes", "hazardous materials", "extremely hazardous wastes", "restricted hazardous wastes", "toxic substances" or "toxic pollutants" under any Environmental Law. Hazardous Material. Any hazardous or toxic substance, pollutant, contaminant, gas, toxic mold, or petroleum product defined as such in (or for purposes of) Hazardous Material Laws.
Hazardous Material. Part 260; (iv) any petroleum, including crude oil or any fraction thereof; (v) natural gas, natural gas liquids, liquefied natural gas, or synthetic gas usable for fuel; (vi) any "hazardous chemical" as defined pursuant to 29 C.F.R.
