Total Shareholder Return
Total Shareholder Return. The ratio of (A) a company's share price as of the last trading day of a Measurement Period (determined using the average closing share price over the 30 preceding trading days) plus earned dividends per share during the Measurement Period, over (B) the company's share price as of the first trading day of a Measurement Period (determined using the average closing share price over the 30 preceding trading days). Dividends are assumed earned and reinvested on the ex-dividend date.
