Example Definitions of "Parent"
Parent. Of a company or other entity shall mean any person or entity which, directly or indirectly, owns or controls twenty percent (20%) or more of the voting securities or other voting rights of the said company or other entity.
Parent. Means any corporation that is a parent corporation (within the meaning of Section 424(e) of the Code) with respect to the Company, and as of the Effective Date, specifically means Etablissements Delhaize Frères et Cie "Le Lion" S.A., a company organized under the laws of the Kingdom of Belgium, or any successor thereto.
