Prime Rate. The Prime Rate is the Wall Street Journal Prime Rate of Interest, which is defined as the rate published in the Money Rate Section of the Wall Street Journal as the Prime Rate, with the understanding that the Lender may lend to its customers at rates that are above or below the Prime Rate. If such rate is no longer published, then in such event, Lender may use a similar rate of interest which is publicly announced by a major commercial banking institution located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
