Example Definitions of "SAR"
SAR. Or "Stock Appreciation Right" means the right, granted to a Grantee under Section 6(c), to be paid an amount measured by the appreciation in the Fair Market Value of Stock from the date of grant to the date of exercise of the right, with payment to be made in cash, Stock, or property as specified in the Award or determined by the Committee.
SAR. Or "Stock Stock Appreciation Right" Right means the right, granted to a Grantee under Section 6(c), 6(b)(ii), to be paid an amount measured by the appreciation in the Fair Market Value of Stock from the date of grant to the date of exercise of the right, with payment to be made in cash, Stock, or property as specified in the Award or determined by the Committee.

SAR. Means a stock appreciation right entitling the Participant to Shares or cash compensation, or a combination thereof, as established by the Administrator, measured by appreciation in the value of Common Stock.
SAR. Pursuant to Section 9 of this Plan, an unfunded and unsecured promise to deliver Shares, cash or other securities equal in value to the difference between the Fair Market Value of a Share as of the date such SAR is exercised and the Fair Market Value of a Share as of the date such SAR was granted, or as otherwise set forth in the Award Agreement.
SAR. The contractual right granted to a Participant pursuant to Section 6.1 hereof to receive a payment upon the exercise of such right which reflects the appreciation in the Fair Market Value of the number of Shares for which such right was granted during the period beginning on the date of grant and ending on the date such SAR is exercised.
SAR. Shall mean a tandem or freestanding stock appreciation right, granted to a Participant under Section 6(a)(7) or 6(b), as the case may be, to be paid an amount measured by the appreciation in the Fair Market Value of Stock from the date of grant to the date of exercise of the right.
SAR. Shall mean a stock appreciation right. 22
SAR. Means a stock appreciation right whose value is based on the increase in the FAIR MARKET VALUE of the COMMON STOCK covered by such right.
SAR. Means a stock appreciation right. A SAR may be a Naked SAR or a Tandem SAR. -3-
